I am a visual artist who works using alternative and traditional photographic techniques such daguerreotypes, photograms, pinhole photographs and other ways of using light and recording surfaces to capture impressions of the world. I use an experimental methodology that combines elements of traditional photography and modern image making to create ephemeral images.
My portrait photographs play on the role of touch and contact in the preservation of a unique moment, the transmission of aura from subject to image.
I have studied photography at Edith Cowan University Mount Lawley, Western Australia and was recently awarded a practice based doctorate on the subject of photography and the paradigm of the trace.
